ARTIN SHAVERDIAN Artin Shaverdian practices in the area of eminent domain/inverse condemnation law. He has extensive experience in eminent domain litigation, having been responsible for matters from the commencement of actions including initial rights of entry for appraisal and environmental testing purposes, orders for prejudgment possession, right to take challenges, early discovery, appraisal analysis, expert discovery, preparation and argument of pretrial and discovery motions and through trial. He has experience in representing numerous governmental agencies as well as private property and business owners. Prior to joining California Eminent Domain Law Group, Mr. Shaverdian was an associate at the firm of Oliver, Vose, Sandifer, Murphy & Lee, practicing exclusively eminent domain/inverse condemnation law. Mr. Shaverdian is a graduate of the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Entrepreneurship. He is a recipient of the Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies Top Ten Business Plan Award. Mr. Shaverdian received his Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 2002. At Southwestern Law School, he was a member of the Moot Court and the Trial Advocacy Programs. Mr. Shaverdian's prior experience includes a summer associate position at Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co., where he was involved with the office of chief legal counsel in a large variety of transactions, including valuation of businesses, mergers and acquisitions, initial and secondary public offerings, private placement financing, leveraged and management buyouts and sale of restricted securities. Mr. Shaverdian is a member of the American Bar Association; the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Real Property Section, Condemnation and Land Valuation Committee; and a registered agent with the California Department of Real Estate. |
